Philippe MAGNE is a graduate of the Lausanne Hotel Management School (École hôtelière de Lausanne). He started his career in Xian, China, with the hotel group Hyatt. In 2001 Philippe joined the company Holmes Place, Geneva, and obtained his first management position at the luxury fitness center.
Between 2004 and 2007 he worked for the most popular international luxury hotel chains: he was in charge of commercial development at the Spa of Madinat Jumeirah in Dubaï, then the Wellness Manager of Montreux Palace with the Raffles group. In 2007 Philippe MAGNE became Director of Operations of the Swiss brand of luxury cosmetics L-Raphael in Geneva. In charge of the luxury beauty Institut in Geneva, he was also responsible for the distribution of the brand to the prestige luxury hotels, in addition he organised the opening of the Chalet L-Raphael in Verbier. Two years later he became Director of Spa at the Crans Ambassador Hotel & Spa in Switzerland. In this position, he was able for the first time to instigate renovation and the creation of a wellness concept.
In 2011 Philippe obtained the position of General Manager of the Thermes Parc Resort in Switzerland, a thermal complex welcoming more than 100 000 visitors per year, with two restaurants and more than 140 apartments to manage. In the last few years he has created « doyouspa », a company specializing in seminars and training in this profession. In 2012 he has also participated in many international conferences as a speaker and collaborated in the writing of a book on management of spas with the Lausanne hotel management school (EHL).
Having more than 20 years of experience in the domain of Spa and luxury hotels, Philippe MAGNE spent the last 5 years, as director of operations for the COMPAGNIE DE VICHY and for VICHY SPA INTERNATIONAL.
The company Vichy Spa International (VSI), created in 2008, is a 100% subsidiary of the Compagnie de Vichy, its purpose is to enhance the expertise of the Compagnie de Vichy assisting investors interested in the development of Thermal Medical Spa Hotels both in France and abroad. Finally, VSI proposes the signing of a contract of commercial assistance and the license to use the brand names 5* VICHY CÉLESTINS SPA HÔTEL or 4* VICHY THERMALIA SPA HÔTEL, either under management contract or through a franchise agreement.
From 2016 to 2019, Philippe Magne has overviewed three openings with a total investment budget of 200 millions USD. From 2018, He was responsible for the highest quality standards and hotels performance, overviewing all aspects of the management.
From summer 2021, Philippe Magne is offering consulting missions through his company WELLNESS ASSET, for investors looking at business through the wellness angle, in partnerships with several key consultants bringing a high level of competencies to the project success.
